At Grassgarth, we know that for many couples, a wedding day would not feel complete without their dog being part of it. Our Wedding Chaperone for Dogs service is designed to help include your dog in your special day, while making sure they are safely cared for, exercised and looked after from start to finish.
We understand that every wedding is different, so our service can be tailored to suit your plans and your dog’s needs. Whether you would like your dog to be present for photographs, walk with the wedding party, greet guests, rear bear, or simply be there for part of the day before being taken home or back to the kennels, we can work with you to create a plan that fits around your day.
Before the wedding, we take the time to speak with you about your dog’s routine, temperament and the part you would like them to play. We can then make arrangements for collection, transport, exercise, handling and care throughout the day, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible, liaising throughout the day to ensure you are happy and that your dog remains happy, comfortable and well looked after.
On the day itself, your dog will be cared for by an experienced member of our team who will stay with them, supervise them and make sure they have everything they need. We can transport your dog to and from the wedding, take them for walks, keep them settled between photographs or appearances, provide water and comfort breaks, and make sure they are calm and cared for while you enjoy your day. If needed, we can also transport your dog home or back to Grassgarth at the end of their role in the celebrations, where they can relax and enjoy our facilities.
Our aim is to make it easy for couples to include their dog in their wedding without having to worry about the practical side of the day. With experienced handlers, a calm and caring approach, and a service tailored to your plans, we can help make sure your dog is a happy part of the occasion while you enjoy every moment.

We are fully insured, fully licensed and are fully trained in pet first aid. We are happy to discuss this with you and tailor our services to your needs. We offer a service to accompany your precious pet to your wedding so you can share your special day and have photographic memories of your day together. We offer tailored packages to meet your wishes and can include any of the following;

Meeting you and your pet prior to the wedding to make sure your dog is comfortable

Attend rehearsals if required if you wish your dog to have a role such as ring bearer

Looking after your dog prior to the day of the wedding and afterwards

Collect your pet and safely transport to wedding venue for time requested

Take your dog for an enjoyable walk and comfort break before attending the wedding

Allow your dog to meet guests and familiarise itself to the venue

Bath, blow dry and pamper package, full clip and deluxe groom

Accessorise dog with flowers, bow ties etc of your choice

Coordinate with photographer and assist with photos

Supervise and attend to the comfort of your pet

Transport your pet home safely to requested premises or home with us
